The agency has proven it is hopelessly politically contaminated and deserved to have its 200 Million dollar building razed to the ground while it is replaced.

I don't think they envisioned mammoth ships having the great force to destroy the pilings. I think it is more symbolic of the fact that the bridge was named after the composer of "The Star Spangled Banner" and is a symbolic sign of the degradation of the USA! The fact that the ship captain acted quickly and had traffic on the bridge stopped is a good sign. I am more worried about the fact that MILLIONS of men from distant countries are invading our southern border and are being welcomed and funded by the Biden administration. They are bringing in diseases, measles, malaria, TB and more and we don't know who are agents of foreign countries and are infiltrating the USA to destroy us from within! How many will just setup crime shops is also not known. The President of Mexico says he will stop the invasion if we donate 20 Billion dollars to South America and stop deciding on how other countries should be managed. I think I would take the deal! The negative impact of 10 million illegal immigrants on the US economy is mind boggling. Of course, we have a chief? who is dealing with mental issues and hasn't a clue of what is really transpiring, nor does he care.

I’m done with Russia, Russia, Russia and China, China, China blaming.

Even if one or both *did* do it, WE created either the monster or the technology or both.

Our fault for being so careless.

I think you need a bit more nautical nous to understand accidents like that. I found the explanation presented is quite believable, no matter how unlikely it is to happen to a ship that big.
